On Friday, February 24, 2023, the Student Affairs & Activity Committee at London American City College organized an exciting one-day picnic to Motiongate Dubai for its BBA and MBA students, as well as staff members. 175 students and staff attended the event, looking forward to a fun-filled day at one of Dubai’s most popular theme parks.
The Head Coordinators, Mr. Anil George, Mr. Suraj, and Mr. Joveen, along with other staff members, completed all required preparations for the picnic in order to guarantee the students’ comfort and enjoyment. The Dean & MD of London American City College, Prof. Dr. Kaup Mohamed, and President & CEO, Prof. Dr. Paulson Mathew Chunkapura, accompanied the students, enhancing the excitement and vigor of the day.
The event was made even more reasonable and accessible for everyone thanks to the students’ special discounted package for admission tickets and lunches. This ensured that all students could participate in the fun activities and enjoy the attractions without any financial strain.
The picnic was held at Motiongate Dubai, which provided a variety of rides, performances, and interactive experiences based on well-known Hollywood films. For the sake of the tourists, the park was divided into many themed areas, such as DreamWorks, Lionsgate, and Columbia Pictures.
Throughout the day, the students explored the park, experiencing the thrilling rides, enjoying the shows, and indulging in delicious meals. The students were thrilled to get the chance to unwind with their friends and take a vacation from their academic schedule.
The day concluded with all students and staff returning from Motiongate around 8 pm in the evening. The students described the overall experience of the picnic as “awesome,” creating memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.
London American City College’s Student Affairs & Activity Committee deserves special praise for organizing such a successful and memorable event. The picnic gave the students a chance to get to know one another and have fun together outside of class, fostering a sense of community at the college.
